Count Alonzo - Party Time

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

On his rapid rise to the top of the rap game, the Hyattsville rapper Count Alonzo comes around with the release of "Party Time", his latest single, which will be available for download at the common platforms and Itunes on 2016-04-02.

We took the chance to do a short interview with him to learn more about the motivation behind doing the record and the creation process of "Party Time".

NuEraMixtapes: Thanks for taking the time to do this interview with us. You said it took you 2 months in total to record "Party Time". What was the motivation behind it?

Count Alonzo: When I wrote this song, it had just been after I was 'detained' for suspicion of trafficking, while sailing off to Germany. I already had the first half of verse 1 written to another beat, but once I found this final instrumental, I scratched the rest of the song and started again. I wanted others to feel the urge to let loose and this beat helped tremendously for that vision. Fear controls a lot of what we do, but music and dance can in many cases, remove inhibitions and open us up.

NuEraMixtapes: You described your release as "Outstanding" with classy lyrics, your rap style is slightly comparable with Lil Wayne's sound. What makes you unique and how do you set yourself apart from other aspiring artists?

Count Alonzo: I think most artists lack a huge fundamental foundation of the music industry, while other artists choose to cut corners and put out mediocre work. At the end of the day, good music lasts forever and bad music lasts forever. I just want to know more and be better than before.

Success is when you can wake up in the morning to light your incense stick and see more money in your bank account, even if it's twice a month.

What obstacles have you faced and overcome in the music industry so far?

Count Alonzo: With so many tools for people to create music with these days, non-believers irk me and come in swarms like roaches. So many people will put your music down without even giving you a chance. I want this first major release to really just show people like, "Okay, he's serious in what he's doing." The industry is also filled with cleverness, snakes and deceit. The one thing to remember, a fool and his money are easily separated.

NuEraMixtapes: Any shoutouts and credits to the fam?

Count Alonzo: Shout out Lincoln Park, Shout out 124, Shout out St. Nicholas ave,
Shout out Blackie, Lotty, Goldie, White Boii and Q
