2-Tone Montana: Man I was going thru a real rough time my baby mama had just got sent to prison a year later my mom passed away my sister moved out so I find myself alone with my 3 kids it was cool at first but then everything started hitting me my brother done me dirty stoled all my money I lost my house ect started doing drugs quit music fast forward to a year ago I overdosed should of died 13 days on a vent what I saw changed me God saved me for a reason inspired me 200 days clean and focused I knew I had to be all I could be for my kids and use my talent to set them up for the best so that's how my mixtape book Of Joshua came to light just telling my story

Highway Holiday: The goal for this EP was to set me up for some major backing and promotional push for my debut album Caliana. With this EP I hope to establish myself as a gifted artist and grow my Fanbase as much as possible. I also hope to get industry recognition. I always try hard to be original with my music and I make a point to make music that doesn't sound like what's trending right now, but at the same time is in the same vibe of the current mood in Hip Hop.

NuEraMixtapes: You described your release as Classic with bold lyrics, your rap style is slightly comparable with Jay-Z's sound. What makes you unique and how do you set yourself apart from other aspiring artists?

Highway Holiday: I set myself apart from other artist by making sure my music comes from a different place. I guarantee I don't sound like any artist that's out right now but I'm also very confident that my music is better than 95% of artist out right now. I set myself apart by making music that is timeless. If you like my songs today you will still be able to listen to them in 10-20 years.

I Define success not only financially and commercially, but by the lives that I am able to change with my music.

What obstacles have you faced and overcome in the music industry so far?

Highway Holiday: The biggest obstacle that I faced so far is realizing that it's not just about the music.You can make the best music in the world but if you don't understand the business side, the social media side, and the building relationships aspect then you will never make it in this industry.

Page1: Page1 started in an era when you had to be not only original, you had to stand for something. Today's artist mostly don't have anything meaningful to say. Most of them are carried by the beat. Unlike myself I become another instrument, thus vibrating higher.

Jody Poem: I set myself apart by being exactly who I say I am. There is nothing I've done to just have fame. I'm here to tell a story, teach people of resilience, and to heal the world through music.

Success is in the eye of the beholder. In other words, the only person who can decide if you're successful or not is the individual themselves. They have the power in deciding their success.

Jody Poem: I've faced many setbacks just as any young artist should. This includes but is limited to people not being reliable, people being emotionally challenging, and just in general the lack of funds to obtain the equipment needed to create quality recordings.

Buddha Godd: Really the process was hell, because of the many flows and moods I go through, it was almost boggling tryna pick just one you know?
I know that a lot of artists might pull up a producers track or hear the beat before they put together they thing but for me, half the project was either improvised or done completely from scratch 'cause i aint meet with most of the people involved or hear the track beforehand!
I had a ton of fun just releasing my pain and turning it into something positive people can bump to.

NuEraMixtapes: You described your release as prodigious with formidable lyrics, your rap style is slightly comparable with Nobody's sound. What makes you unique and how do you set yourself apart from other aspiring artists?

Buddha Godd: I just focus on my craft, bottom line!
My unc used to tell us we'd go crazy tryna keep up with what other people doin, and that was all I needed to hear.

Success to me is something not just everybody around you can be proud of but, within, you can tell yourself you did your best .

Buddha Godd: To many from being done dirty with producers to just not getting any credit for my work, but my main obstacle i'm battling is exposure which I don't necessarily need to get better, but to put others on notice i'm here and will be for a while!

To me success is equivalent to accomplishing lifetime goals while being content with the choices you meant to complete!

TheCasinoLife: I read constantly. I'm always looking to expand my vocabulary and find new ways to say things. If your favorite has a fire line in his song, I want to find a way to top it. Even if we're saying the same thing. I wanna challenge myself to be the most witty and clever lyricist.

On his rapid rise to the top of the rap game, the Omaha rapper Trafek comes around with the release of "Lines", his latest EP, which will be available for download at the common platforms on 2018-11-14.

We took the chance to do a short interview with him to learn more about the motivation behind doing the record and the creation process of "Lines".

NuEraMixtapes: Thanks for taking the time to do this interview with us. You said it took you 2 months months in total to record "Lines". What was the motivation behind it?

Trafek: I wanted listeners to hear something different . I wanted them to realize they aren't alone if they have problems , addictions, or if they need a break from the everyday stress. I wanted to be able to touch on depression in a funny way , a way that I can say something real as hell followed by a funny punchline to break up the monotony .

NuEraMixtapes: You described your release as Therapeutic with bold lyrics, your rap style is slightly comparable with Drake, Kanye West, Eminem, Nobody's sound. What makes you unique and how do you set yourself apart from other aspiring artists?

Trafek: I want people to relate to my words . I want listeners to be like "Damn, I have been thru the same shit ". I want to stray away from the mumble rap trend of nonsense

I want my family to be able to relax and retire. To travel the world whenever they want . I want my friends taken care of and I want my doubters to turn fans because there's a part of me in them somewhere

What obstacles have you faced and overcome in the music industry so far?

Trafek: Coming from Omaha Nebraska has been a fight to get thru the stereo type . We are WAY more than cornfields. We have raw talent out here ! Being a white dude from Omaha has been an experience in it self but I know that once people listen ..actually LISTEN .they are gunna relate with something I say.

Groucho400: It took me 20 minutes to write the song I was listening to drakeo & almighty suspect & just got inspired then hit one of my favorite producers sammythep up & hit the studio & created what I feel is a masterpiece I'm hoping to get ppl back listening to me & hopefully get some attention thrown to Riverside

NuEraMixtapes: You described your release as Phenomenal with laid-back lyrics, your rap style is slightly comparable with Nobody's sound. What makes you unique and how do you set yourself apart from other aspiring artists?

Groucho400: I'm inspired by a lot of artist From all over so im not your typical west coast artist I'm from Riverside we just bred different you just gotta listen to the music it's a mix of trap/drill/new wave west coast

Accomplishing what I aim or have a purpose for as long as your not staying stagnant &winning & getting out your dreams is success to me

Groucho400: A lot of hate in the ie music scene certain studios or artist not wanting to work with me because of the area I'm from & artist bitting & stealing my ideas or trying to take my work as theirs

A small peek into who I really am. I used my life experiences to evolve into my present day experiences.

NuEraMixtapes: You described your release as Epic with bold lyrics, your rap style is slightly comparable with Nicki Minaj's sound. What makes you unique and how do you set yourself apart from other aspiring artists?

Lyrical Rae: I do not focus on what the next Artist is doing.
I simply just do me.

The Metro Cartel: The title implies a concept that discloses information society needs to know or too afraid to talk about,given our perspective. The ten track project is led by the aforementioned tracks "Vice" & "Trenches". Speaking our truth,and lauded for our lyrical content and introspection,we give a hard dose of reality that will keep you engaged. Declassified is a well put together project and we hope to accomplish the goal of listeners gravitating towards the message.

NuEraMixtapes: You described your release as Conscious with bold lyrics, your rap style is slightly comparable with Nobody's sound. What makes you unique and how do you set yourself apart from other aspiring artists?

The Metro Cartel: Our sound and style sets us apart from everyone else.

Success is defined by how you as an individual live out your purpose in life. No matter where you work, live, or amount of money you have,as long as you're spreading love, helping others when your're able, and inspiring the youth; your successful! Your character defines your success!

The Metro Cartel: For the most part dealing with janky promoters. People have this mindset where they think you need them or they feel you owe them something. Some people just don't know how to conduct business accordingly.
