On his rapid rise to the top of the rap game, the Hagerstown rapper Exclusive Zayy comes around with the release of "Wasn't there for me", his latest single, which will be available for download at the common platforms on 2018-10-07.
We took the chance to do a short interview with him to learn more about the motivation behind doing the record and the creation process of "Wasn't there for me".
NuEraMixtapes: Thanks for taking the time to do this interview with us. You said it took you 2 months in total to record "Wasn't there for me". What was the motivation behind it?
Exclusive Zayy: I just wanted everyone to hear my voice and passion for music I knew that this song would take me across everywhere. That this song would change my life and also show me more way to make better songs
NuEraMixtapes: You described your release as Passionate with uplifting lyrics, your rap style is slightly comparable with Drake's sound. What makes you unique and how do you set yourself apart from other aspiring artists?
Exclusive Zayy: I put my all in to my music try to spend my last for my music and I study on my music to make it more passionate and I do this for family and as well as me and never change for the better only for the worse and that my career
Success is waking up in the morning knowing that your not judge and that people care for anything that you do and your not put your self down that you strive for greatness everyday
What obstacles have you faced and overcome in the music industry so far?
Exclusive Zayy: Getting studio time was really key for me because money was always a problem for me and that is what gets you studio time I was willing to do anything even if that mean 3 jobs

Exclusive Zayy: I just wanna thank my city cause without the fans and support I couldn't accomplish or be a better person as my self Maryland is the key
