On his rapid rise to the top of the rap game, the Chicago rapper Quinshaun comes around with the release of "the kid", his latest single, which will be available for download at the common platforms on 2018-12-21.

We took the chance to do a short interview with him to learn more about the motivation behind doing the record and the creation process of "the kid".

NuEraMixtapes: Thanks for taking the time to do this interview with us. You said it took you 1 months in total to record "the kid". What was the motivation behind it?

Quinshaun: The creation process for this
song was really quite simple
It's based off my rap name
KiD Q and the hate
I get for being me
it's basically letting
people know im here I can Rap
and I'm not going anywhere
I wanted something that's in your face
something that I could go crazy on
while staying true to my style

NuEraMixtapes: You described your release as flawless with bold lyrics, your rap style is slightly comparable with Nicki Minaj's sound. What makes you unique and how do you set yourself apart from other aspiring artists?

Quinshaun: I set my self apart from other artists
by being more bold than the average artist
My lyrics are really reveling to some that maybe
A lot to take in I understand but I'm me
Being gay artist I feel I have more to
prove and more to give as an artist because
theirs so many people out there who hate on
us wanting us to fail so I'm here to set the record straight and let them know I take my music very
seriously I love rapping singing and writing so much
I want to share it with the world I can Rap just as my as your favorite artist and mines

What obstacles have you faced and overcome in the music industry so far?

Quinshaun: The Obstacles that I have faced
and over came is rejection
and hate
You can't please everyone
Every one will not like you
Ik I'm Gay and I'm constantly
getting reminded of it because
people are ingnorant
It takes a special kinda strength
to endure those things but know who u are
Believe in you and you can't be touched
